Valentines and Olympic Rings
I am a big fan of the Olympics and I am so excited to get to watch the Winter Games with my girls this year! To get everyone excited we made our own Olympic Rings!
This is another one of those projects that are just super quick and
simple and age appropriate for both 1 and 3 year old children. Amelia {1 year
old} painted the green ring and Autumn {3 years old} did all the rest. I
cut out the center of the plates but Autumn got to practice her newly
acquired cutting skills too. She put a single cut through each ring and
then I attached it to the ring next to it. I just used Scotch tape to
put the ring back together again. Follow the link below for Linsay's (from My Creative Days) instructions. As a side note, Autumn now says she wants to watch the "Olympic Rings."
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching! This year we made some fun love bugs for a cute decoration and homemade Valentines that the girls can pass out at daycare.
These love bugs provided a great opportunity for fine motor skills as Autumn glued and attached all the little pieces. The added bonus is that I already had all the supplies I needed for this craft from leftovers for our Valentines craft last year.
This was definitely too technical for Amelia to complete but she still sat at the table with us and threw craft items on the floor for me to repeatedly retrieve...so at least she still got to participate a little bit. Follow the link below for the really easy instructions from We Made That.
She’s a pretty big fan of her cute little love bugs.
The Valentines we made were the ones I featured from when I co-hosted the favorite post link-up Countdown in Style {8} Feature Friday. They turned out very cute and the girls had a lot of fun, as always!
Happy Valentine's Day!

I'll have to check this out. I keep saying that I'll do crafts with the kids only to have another week pass by. Perfect for my two year old too.
ReplyDeleteThe best part about these crafts are that they are so quick and simple. My kids can't hold their attention for very long on one thing and we're able to do these and then have a completed craft of which they can be proud! And, hey, if you don't get to the crafts this week at least you still have next week if you want to do the Olympic Rings! :)
